Dispute Resolution / Litigation Solicitor – NQ to 2 Years PQE
  • Permanent Full Time Position
  • Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm
  • Salary: Negotiable
  • Location: Clifton, Bristol (parking permit will be provided) close to Clifton Down Railway Station and local bus routes

JOB SUMMARY: This is a great opportunity to join a growing and dynamic law firm and the ideal candidate will possess a desire to fulfil a career in Dispute Resolution / Litigation.

We are looking for a newly qualified or junior Dispute Resolution / Litigation Solicitor who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and is highly effective when working in a team environment.

Your role will involve handling a challenging yet rewarding caseload consisting of all dispute resolution / litigation matters and assisting the Head of Department on highly complex matters. A flair for business development and marketing would also be beneficial. The ideal candidate must be hardworking and helpful, and able to be flexible, self-sufficient and discreet in the performance of his or her job.

You must be confident, knowledgeable, articulate and enjoy helping to deliver a focused service.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will report to the Head of Department and will be responsible for tasks including:

  • Running a varied caseload of Commercial and Property litigation files;
  • Dealing with High Court and County Court litigation, Mediation and Arbitration claims
  • Supporting and assisting Head of Dispute Resolution in highly complex matters
  • Liaising with clients and other professionals
  • Drafting
  • Advocacy
  • Managing own files; and
  • Marketing and business development.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • PQE of NQ to 2 years with experience of conducting litigation;
  • Sound knowledge of Civil Procedure;
  • Possess a strong academic background, preferably with a 2:1 at degree level;
  • Has an aptitude for business development and marketing;
  • Excellent written and spoken English;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook;
  • Excellent organisation skills;
  • Works well as part of a team;
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment;
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise;
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as in a team;
  • Confident in problem solving;
  • Client focused;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Have polished communication skills;
  • Have a methodical and thorough approach to work; and,
  • Have neat presentation and appearance.
