Dispute Resolution / Litigation Solicitor – NQ to 2 Years PQE
- Permanent Full Time Position
- Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm
- Salary: Negotiable
- Location: Clifton, Bristol (parking permit will be provided) close to Clifton Down Railway Station and local bus routes
JOB SUMMARY: This is a great opportunity to join a growing and dynamic law firm and the ideal candidate will possess a desire to fulfil a career in Dispute Resolution / Litigation.
We are looking for a newly qualified or junior Dispute Resolution / Litigation Solicitor who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and is highly effective when working in a team environment.
Your role will involve handling a challenging yet rewarding caseload consisting of all dispute resolution / litigation matters and assisting the Head of Department on highly complex matters. A flair for business development and marketing would also be beneficial. The ideal candidate must be hardworking and helpful, and able to be flexible, self-sufficient and discreet in the performance of his or her job.
You must be confident, knowledgeable, articulate and enjoy helping to deliver a focused service.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will report to the Head of Department and will be responsible for tasks including:
- Running a varied caseload of Commercial and Property litigation files;
- Dealing with High Court and County Court litigation, Mediation and Arbitration claims
- Supporting and assisting Head of Dispute Resolution in highly complex matters
- Liaising with clients and other professionals
- Drafting
- Advocacy
- Managing own files; and
- Marketing and business development.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- PQE of NQ to 2 years with experience of conducting litigation;
- Sound knowledge of Civil Procedure;
- Possess a strong academic background, preferably with a 2:1 at degree level;
- Has an aptitude for business development and marketing;
- Excellent written and spoken English;
- Good knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook;
- Excellent organisation skills;
- Works well as part of a team;
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment;
- Ability to multitask and prioritise;
- Able to work on own initiative as well as in a team;
- Confident in problem solving;
- Client focused;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Have polished communication skills;
- Have a methodical and thorough approach to work; and,
- Have neat presentation and appearance.
